Another Country Productions burst onto the Boston Theater scene with SLAMBoston, the innovative 10 minute play competition developed by Lyralen Kaye, now available to be franchised. Another Country currently offers classes in the Meisner technique, multicultural theater education and devised theatre productions, in which they go into schools and other organizations to create work with students and minorities, all of which challenge and inspire audiences through a marriage of social justice and theater.
Saint John the Divine in Iowa won Lyralen Kaye a spot in the 2015 Inaugural Writers Lab funded by Meryl Streep. Logline: Reverend Alexandra McCartney loves her gay daughter more than anyone. But when her daughter comes home accusing her mother of never putting her first, Alex is thrown into a whirlpool of self-doubt about all her relationships--with her congregation, her daughter, even her husband.
